Our commitment
Orange Orbits is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we build for our clients, and we hold our own site to the same standard.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some content may not yet fully meet the standard; we treat any gap as a defect and fix it.
What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML structure with correct heading order and landmark regions
- A skip link to bypass navigation, and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Full keyboard operability, including the navigation menus and tabbed content
- Text and interface colour contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.2 AA ratios
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Form inputs with programmatically associated labels and clear error messaging
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting, which disables animation and scroll effects - Responsive layouts that work at 320px width and at 200% zoom without loss of content
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working on them:
- Some third-party embedded content may not meet the same standard; we raise issues with those vendors and replace them where a compliant alternative exists.
- Older PDF documents may lack full tagging. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
Report a barrier
If you encounter anything on this site you cannot access, please tell us - it helps us fix it. Email contact@orangeorbits.com or call +1 (613) 481-0261, and include the page address and a description of the problem.
We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and aim to resolve confirmed issues within ten business days. Where a fix will take longer, we will provide the information in an accessible alternative format in the meantime.
Accessibility in the work we deliver
We build client projects to WCAG 2.2 AA by default rather than as an upgrade, and we test with keyboard navigation, automated tooling and screen readers before launch. For US businesses this is a practical risk-management measure as well as the right thing to do: public-facing websites are regularly the subject of ADA Title III claims.
Assessment approach
This site was evaluated through a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and code review against the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. We re-test after any significant change.
