Browsing by material, not by SKU
Viscose, nylon, knitted, polyester and lycra each became a browsable category with photography chosen to show how the material actually behaves.
Textile & Apparel
A fashion fabric, activewear and sportswear manufacturer selling to global brands needed a site that conveyed material quality rather than just listing it.
The challenge
Fabric is a tactile product sold through a screen. A brand sourcing manager evaluating viscose, nylon, knitted, polyester and lycra needs to judge drape, weight and finish from photography alone - and the previous site used flat catalogue shots that made every material look the same.
The company competes for global brand accounts, where the buyer is weighing credibility as much as capability: production scale, quality standards, sustainability position and distribution reach. None of that was findable.
The approach
Viscose, nylon, knitted, polyester and lycra each became a browsable category with photography chosen to show how the material actually behaves.
A fashion styles section shows the fabric in finished garments - activewear, loungewear, home textiles - so a buyer can see the end use rather than imagine it.
Plant and process photography, capacity and quality standards were given real space, because at brand-account scale the factory is part of the pitch.
Site search was added so a buyer arriving with a specific material in mind reaches it in one step instead of navigating a category tree.
Results
Buyers reference specific fabrics from the site before the first call. The conversation starts at sampling rather than introductions.

More work
A garment and fabric manufacturer operating since 1995 was competing against newer firms that simply presented themselves better.
A specialist endoscopic spine surgery practice needed a website that explained complex procedures to anxious patients and made booking a consultation effortless.
A construction company with strong residential work wanted to be taken seriously for commercial and industrial contracts. The website was the weakest link in that pitch.
